MSL Pointer Review:
An amazingly fearless and effective book that has shed new light on the evils of refined sugar. |

An American reader (MSL quote), USA
<2007-01-11 00:00>
I feel like this book was extremely ridiculous. William Duffy sounds like he has a serious issue with food. I wouldn't be surprised if he has an eating disorder. He talks about sugar as if it is going to be the downfall of the world. He goes back in ramblings of history which I feel, what in the world does this have to do with Sugar in the diet. I don't feel as if refined sugar is bad for you, if you eat it in moderation. It sounds like William was going bonkers with his. He sounds like He was bullimic an now he is suffering from anorexia. I think the human body does need carbs and sugars to help the body with its processes. I feel that unless you have diabetes, ketosis or are insulin resistant, yeah, carbs and sugar are not good for you. But if you are a normal, healthy human being, it is fine, your body can handle it. I think people need to stop drinking so much sodas and juices and pastries and candies and get in the gym. I am sure that will make them feel and look better. This guy does nothing but try and strike fear instead of help. |
