Daine is a young girl with a rare magical gift, she can speak with animals. She is now traveling with her teacher Numair to battle off a strange creater known as a skinner. While there Daine and Numair are swept off into the Divine Realms.

This is one of Tamora Pierce's best books! And it has romance, my favorite! But it is pretty easy to tell who Daine's going to fall for. (Hmm...hint: He's got the gift, older than her. Oh I won't give it away!) Daine is a wonderful character with the coolest gift of all. I mean, who wouldn't want to talk to animals AND even turn into them? Well read The Realms of the Gods!

The Realms of the Gods' is an excellent read to everyone! Especially those who love a bit of romance here and there! Daine known as the Wild mage has fallen into the divine realms where she meets many interesting gods and goddesses. I won't say who because it would spoil a lot of the book. There her and her teacher Numair travel and try to get out. Dispite the trouble in Tortall they are not scared to go back infact they want to help which all good heros should do. If you like action, excitement and romance try The Realms Of The Gods!

Tamora Peirce has outdone herself with the Immortals Quartet. As the final book, Pierce has fully completed her saga of Veralidaine and Numair. The reader will come to a full understanding of pressure put on top of the leaders of Tortall. Pick it up and I swear on the Great Mother Goddess you won't want to put it down.

In this book Daine has to find and destroy the skinners, but in doing so, she endangers her life, badly. So badly that her parents, and the badger god, have to pull her into the realms of the gods. There she finds out who her dad is and what her mother has become. Then she has to find a way to get back to the human realms. She goes to the Dragonlands for help, and Skysong's grandfather ends up doing the job. The get back safely and... Well I don't want to give away the ending. But this was a pretty good book, but honestly, just a bit obvious. Sure she developes a relationship(with whom I am not telling), But I saw that from the first book. And sure, she finds out who her dad is, and wha her mom is, and sure, she kills... some one(I'm not telling that either), but I saw that long ago. I think that no series is worth reading if you don't finish it, but this is still not my absolute favorite. (personally, I think that Wild Magic was the best.) I guess I could say that I've read better, and I've read much worse.

Again some of the best books I have ever read!! Another good quartet after the Song of the Lioness Quartet! (The next ones, Kel's and Aliane'a are good too! Protector of the Small and The Lioness's Daughter) Daine's enchanting life and her "Wild Magic" powers bring her to a most interesting learning experience along with her teacher Numair Saliman (formally Arram Draper). These books are so very good!

A nice wrap-up to this quartet. And finally, the relationship that I was waiting for developed (names left out to contain spoilers). I wonder if there will be more information about them in the next Tortall series; I shall have to find out (fortunately, I have those books sitting on my TBR shelf). There was a little more sacrifice in this book compared to the rest, but still it did all seem to turn out a little too well in the end - but I was in the mood for a happy ending, so all is well.

This book includes characters from other bops by Pierce, including King Jonathan, Queen Thayet, and Alanna. The book focuses on the 13 year old orphan girl named Daine. Daine is found and hired by a worker of the king. She is hired for her way with animals, but no one yet knows that she has a special magic, not that of the Gift, Wild Magic.

As Daine learns new ways to communicate with animals and strengthens he r powers with the help of her mentor, she faces more challenging tasks and the death of her animal friends in war. As Daine learns more she begins to believe that by being around the animals she alters them making them smart and unnatural. She overcomes this fear and is able to save the kingdom on many occasions.

After all of meddling in wars the gods decide that she causes chaos and is forced to choose, life with her mom and dad in the Realms of gods.

This book is a fantasy filled with thrill, suspense, and a sense of an alternate reality. I recommend it for getting away from everything else and any one that even partially enjoys fantasy.

All of the Immortlas books by Tamora Pierce are wonderful, as are all her Tortallan series - The Song of the Lioness, Daughter of the Lioness, and Protector of the Small. I especially loved the Realms of the Gods, however, because of the different genres - mystery, action, adventure, and (finally) the added romance! I think that this book is great and I highly recommend all the series listed above to anyone who enjoys fantasy novels!

I am a huge fan of Tamora Pierce, and i must say this is one of her best. for me its the romance between Daine and Numair. there are hints here and there, like Numair's voice and his eyes which make my heart melt. Stuck in the gods home, when there is a war in the mortal realms, there is love in the air when Daine never dies, Numair comes to save her. even with this love they can't stop until they get back to the mortal realms. after bloodshed, changing shapes and a goddess getting punished Numair and Daine have survived and come together at last.

In this set of books, Ms. Pierce continues her Tortall series by introducing a new heroine Daine. Enemy's of Tortall have released immortal creatures from the Realm of the Gods where they where penned-up for the last 400+ years and have directed them to attach Tortall. Help is on the way though, Daine has the ability to speak to animals and has the gift of "wild magic." The series takes us though 4 books during which Daine will have many adventures and Tortall will never be the same. Taking place between the Song of the Lioness series and The Protector of the Small series, Daine's adventures cover everything from falling in love to fighting battles. This is a truly enjoyable series. Yet another hit for Ms. Pierce!
