This book reminded me that there is more to life than earning a paycheck. Also, success is a continuing journey. I read this book while on vacation in the Outer Banks. Excellent timeing because I had time to read and digest the material.
I was looking for a push to get a new job. Instead, this book encouraged me to use my strengths on the job and be successful there. I am advancing in the career by using the skills that I have. I also have time to devote to beginning my new home business training lay or volunteer church leaders.
I still need guidance on marketing myself and I will always pursue that learning. I have published two novels and am looking forward to more now that I have a great job that affords me the time. |

Just completing my Masters in Human Resources and previously and continuingly earning a MBA in "real life", I can tell you that this book is what you need to look inside yourself, defining what you want to do to make yourself happy and then showing you how to go for it! This is the best all-in-one comprehensive book that can show you how to get that dream job! Where you wake up in the morning and jump out of bed to get to work jobs! I have read "tons" of material in this field and this is the best...if you have ever read "What Color is Your Parachute" this is more than that on steroids! |

Dan Miller really takes you on a journey of yourself and that journey oftens leads to glances and sometimes long stares at yourself in a mirror (not literally but very much conceptually).
This self-discovery was somewhat unexpected as I just thought this book was going to be like any other self-help book out there with random acts or suggestions that didn't fit in to my life. The thing is that every concept, suggestion, direction in which he guides you is general enough for anyone to follow and learn from.
Undoubtedly, God has blessed my life thru reading and learning from Dan's expertise and willingness to keep faith as a lead motivator for life successes.
I could go on and on but what you really need to know is that this not only changed my faith in my own abilities to start my own business but so many of the principles Dan discusses are applicable to life and have postively effected my marriage, friendships, and business realationships as well.
