I am a mother of three children and we own each I spy book and eagerly wait for a new arrival. My children are now, 10, 8, and 5. These books are truly our favorite and they are not just for the young. Each picture makes them think, explore, and problem solve all on their own in a very different way. Each night at story time they all pick a book mom reads and then a book they read, then we always end up doing an entire I Spy book together. We spend this great quality time together as a family group. Now that I write this review from far away at a conference with grown adults, overly stressed. I went back to my suitcase for the I Spy Treasure Hunt book, which is my favorite of them all. This has broken the ice and released the stress and I cannot get my book back! Thank you Walter Wick and Jean Marzollo for the many many hours of enjoyment you have allowed my family to experience! |

I picked this book out because of the beautiful photography and the clever way objects were inserted into miniature settings. The 12 pictures in I Spy Treasure Hunt are beautiful and fascinating to pore over. Sometimes the photographs are a bit blurry or hazy, though, which made me wonder if I was missing something. I wasn't always sure what I was looking for. Or you only see a tiny part of the thing you're supposed to find. And the extra credit riddles need to be on a foldout page so you can refer to them without flipping back and forth. Still, it's a beautiful, clever book and a lot of fun. |

My family has enjoyed I Spy Picture Riddles for many years. I Spy Treasure Hunt is my personal favorite. The reader is invited to search for hidden items on pages that represent an imaginary seaside town. The first puzzle page features the train station, while the next two page spread is the "View from Duck Pond Inn". Eventually, the Pirate's treasure is revealed! I enjoy the less flashy and cluttered look of this particular book, though my kids seem to highly enjoy all the I Spy books. I recommend them for all ages! |

I absolutely adore the I Spy picture riddle book series, and have a number of them in my personal library collection. I am 19 years of age, yet I don't find these books to be for "little kids only". This book is outstanding in its ability to ignite the brain power in people of ANY age. For that alone, I'd give it five stars! The pictures are whimsical and creative, the riddles fun and challenging even to the "older" crowd. A great read and DEFINITELY one to place on your family's Christmas list! |

This book is great! Perfect! My friends and I are making a town somewhat similar to this with mountains with pretend greens and trees and a little village. It's a train set. This book is almost exactly alike to that. Especially on pages 8-9. It features a train. I would recommend this to anyone who likes green, beautiful areas that are tiny and look real. I especially like the mountain with the fort. It reminds me of "The Rainbow Express" in I Spy Fantasy. This beautifully crafted book could be nominated for best book of the year! |
