This is a beautifully illustrated book. It makes me laugh just to look through it. There are slight details to be found in all the illustrations and it is positely beautiful to look at. It is a story of Russell the sheep who can't go to sleep - "Not tired," he says. The other sheep in the flock are all fast asleep under their cute homemade quilts, but Russell is counting his feet, trying to sleep in vehicles and other various locations and counting all the stars in the sky trying to make himself tired. Very entertaining. |

This book is just adorable. The illustrations are incredible and I hope Rob Scotton continues to write more Russell the Sheep books. My two boys ages 6 and 3 adore this bedtime story. A must in every house. |

This book is a great bedtime read for children; I love it, too! Russell struggles with insomnia and can't figure out how to fall asleep until, at last, he counts himself. Sending your child off to bed with the message "you're important... you count" is a positive way to boost self-esteem. |

Russell the Sheep is a very cute and witty bedtime story. My 4 year old loves it when Russell decides to count sheep, although I think she is too young to get the irony. It is a good one to own. |

I bought this book as a read-aloud for my second grade class. I found that it was hilarious! I ended up sharing it with my colleagues. The illustrations had hidden delights on every page: The sheep that could hide behind the skinny tree, Granny sheep whose teeth made me laugh, knitting a sweater right off the hoof, the look on the frog's face!- every page will find a smile. |

Great illustrations! All my children enjoy the book. It is fun for my 6 year old and short enough to keep the attention of my 3 year old. We read it just before bed and the storyline is perfect to help them get to sleep by counting sheep. The pictures are great and the story is overall just "cute" and fun to follow. |

Every illustration is rich with detail (personally I am a big fan of the frog). I'm hoping to see Russell merchandise to follow; he would make a delightful toy! |
