Great read, or listen, as the case may be! I didn't come away from this book with any one or two nuggets of gold. In fact, I had already read some of the stories in some of Malcolm Gladwell's articles and books. I had even taken a course called Social Network Analysis in the University of Cincinnati's MBA program. Still, Ferrazzi's book is a great read for those well connected or those looking to become better connected. By the way, I ripped the tracks to MP3, put them on my iPod, and listened to them in the car (via FM adapter) on my way to/from work, which is only a 15 minute drive one way. I often found myself sitting in the car a bit longer at the end of the trip so I could finish out a chapter. The Connector's Hall of Fame Profiles were by far my favorite aspect of the book. They were refreshinig, educational, and helped you to visualize the message that Ferrazzi seemed to be trying to communicate. |

This book astounded me with its insights. Mr. Ferrazzi has approached life like a puzzle and figured it out. His tips apply to every facet of life, not just business. Many passages gave me "ah ha!" moments because they so well crystallized something I half-intuited but never really grasped or understood how to apply. It's clear from his accomplishments that Mr. Ferrazzi didn't need to write this book for financial or career success. It's equally clear that he has a passion for sharing the things he has learned. That he took the time to write this book and share his formidable insights with the world is perhaps the best example of his philosophy of succeeding together. He's giving you the road map to success. It's definitely worth a read. |

At a fundraising dinner, I asked a business friend / acquaintance about an event in which he was participating that I wanted to cover as a freelance journalist. Within 12 seconds, he had me on the phone with the organizer, and voilà, I was in. The same gentleman recommended the book to me, and within a week I read Ferrazzi's philosophy that the network is more about helping others than yourself.
An easy read compared to most business books, and people looking to grow should look at as they do everything: a buffet. If there are parts you don't agree with, then don't use them, but implement the skills and techniques that you feel can be a benefit to your stage in life. |

This is not simply a business book on how to establish those ideal relationships with your clients that you can profit from. From the onset Mr. Ferrazzi makes it clear that you cannot keep score; you cannot wait until you need something from someone before you start trying to relate with them. Act now; acct firts BEFORE you need someones help or advice; you will not only seem more sincere you will already have the tools inplace to draw on the experiences of others, thus expediting the process.
Every word in this book rings true. As a marketing/advertising consultant, this book can realistically become my Bible on how to effectively establish and maintain those relationships that are most important.
From developing a mission, to establishing goals and, ultimately, reaching those goals through this indispensible web of relationships he shows you how to create, this and Todd Duncan's High Trust Selling are the two books anyone in sales, marketing or any business that requires interaction with others must have, read and live each day. |

Keith's book has been a runaway best seller and a "must read" for everyone interested in building better relationships in business. His stories of his boyhood networking up through his extensive business career are examples for any and everyone along their career path.
While the book is an important read for all business professionals, the title is powerful, because it sums up the whole book: Never eat alone. There, it is that simple. Every meal be with another person and learn about them. Opportunities come from people, thus get out there and get to know more folks. |
