I recieved this book just last week, and I have read it at least 2 times, srtaight through. I cry in some stories, and laugh in others, but after I read it, I feel so much smarter. I love how they set the book up, in different categories. I have recently been reading the "Death and Dying" part, and it has really helped. I would advise everyone to read this, even adults. It is not only a kids book, it is just about the lives of kids. Most of the situatons would happen to an adult, too.

Chicken Soup for the Kid's Soul, I believe, was one of the most amazing books written of all time for kids. It shares the experiences others have endured and overcome, loyal friendships that have been lived, and many other heartwarming stories. I was introduced to this book by a great teacher of mine, who lent it to me for a week, and that was when I fell in love with it!
It showed me words of wisdom: to strengthen my self-confidence, self-belief, how to dream my dreams of life and how to live a greater life.
The Chicken Soup Series is absolutely amazing, and as I am moving onto my teenage years, I cannot wait to get my hands on the Teenage Soul Series!

The stories are about love, sorrow, family, achieving dreams and many more. The stories will make kids think of times they went through. I like the way they organize the little stories as they are. The poems touch my heart. I was really moved when the sentences started becoming wonderful feelings that came to me. I especially like the funny, heart-trending "book" poem. I highly reccommend this book for kids who need laughter and parents who want their kids to be cheerful and understand about life.

I have been waiting for 3 years to get this book. Finally my mom came up to me and suprised me with this book. I was so happy. This book had made my life full of experiences and laughter. Chicken Soup for the Kid's Soul-I give it 5 stars. The name says it all: it is for kids, and it heals kids with stories of death, love, self esteem, curage, and abuse/drugs and alcohol. I am 13 years old, and i loved the book. The reason kids enjoy the book is because it is true stories from a kids point of view, it is written by superstars, sports stars, and other famous people including Saquell O'neil, Jack Nickleson, and Jennifer Love Huitt tell stories from their childhood days, and give a little message too. Another reason kids enjoys this book is because it is written by kids all over America like you and me. So if you get the chance to read the 5 star rated book put together and edited by 5 New York Times Best Selling Authors, and see if it touches your soul!

Chicken Soup for the Kid's Soul, though very similar to the others in the series is different in a special way. Many of the stories are actually written by kids, which gives the whole book a lively ingredient. The stories give you reasons to not give up on your goals. It lets you know that goals are within your reach, even if you have reach an inch higher. Being a kid myself, I was truly amazed and couldn't put the book down. I encourage people of all ages to read this book of inspirational stories.

And then the "Chicken Soup for the Kid's Soul" became part of a morning family tradition that helped to turn our morning chaos around. Before school, together as a family we would read one or two chicken soup stories that we started to call our "Chicken Soup for the Soul Moments". So powerful was this simple ritual that I ended up including it as one out of my 200 strategies for parents in my own book and still widely recommend it to clients, workshop participants and readers today.
I believe that if more parents read chicken soup WITH their kids each morning we would see a lot less parents and children on the edge of the deep end.

What makes this book unique and special is that they are true stories written by kids and they're written so well. There are funny,encouraging, saddening and funny stories in there including ones form the famous Kenan and Kel personalities (Kenan Thomas and Kel Mitchell).
It also includes Shaquille O'Neil, Ronald Dahl,Shannon Miller,Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong and much more famous charaters. It also includes a foreward by Muhammad Ali, the three time heavy weight boxing champion. Comments from Malcom Jamal Warner (of Malcolm and Eddie) Larisa Oleynic (of the Secret World of Alex Mack) Sindbad (actor and comedian) and tons more of people you will love! Worth your money.
