Ok, Revenge of the Wannbes is all about five girls going to Octavian Country School. Four of them (now five, since Claire is included now!) are in a close clique, and they're mean to many of the other students. One girl in the clique, Alicia, is fed up with Massie (the leader) and decides that she wants to defy her. Massie is horrified!

Meanwhile, Claire and Cam are having some relationship problems, since Massie is always butting in.

    Five stars!

This is the third book in the Clique series that revolves around the hilarious antics of the gutsy and gullible Massie Block and Alicia Rivera, who run the show at the Octavian Country Day School (OCD). In this episode, Alicia is fed up with being beta to Massie's alpha. She wants out of the Pretty Committee to start her own clique. She strikes first by switching the ballot boxes in the OCD school uniform design contest to make sure that Massie doesn't win and she does. As the so-called winner, Alicia is asked to model for Teen People magazine and also to invite a few friends to the fashion shoot, which she uses as bait to lure the unpopular girls into her clique. She soon discovers that the care and feeding of a clique is a lot harder than it looks. What with clever carpool conversation to conjure, juicy gossip to track, dirty tricks to plan, and oh so many backs to stab, Alicia has her hands full. Meanwhile Massie gets wind of the ballot box switcheroo, the photo shoot, and the new clique. She plots her revenge. What ensues is no ordinary cat fight because these girls are both ruthless AND rich. Armed with limos and credit cards, no evil mischief or expense is too over-the-top, no matter whom they trample in the process. When the fur flies, nobody's secret is safe.

A fast-paced, fun read, Revenge of the Wannabes is like Absolutely Fabulous for teens. Alicia and Massie are as outrageous and obnoxious as Patsy and Edina, which makes for non-stop, wacky comedy.

I loved this book! The Revenge of the Wannabes (The Clique, #3) is better than the first two Clique books. This book is about Alicia, mainly, who tries to branch out away from the "Pretty Commitee". Her friends from jazz class say things like, "you have more money than Massie", "Your house is much bigger", "You should have your own sleepovers". Alicia follows their advice, but she get more than she can handle. Massie, K, & D make sure Alicia gets what she is asking for. The thing that hurts Alicia the most is when they say Claire is the new Alicia. Read the book to find out who wins this catfight!

I really enjoy the clique series. They always keep me turning the pages and this one did just that. In this book you get to hear Alicia's side of the story, which is interesting. My only complaint was that sometimes Alicia's side of the story got a little annoying, but besides that, it was a good book!

First of all let me say that I absolutely love these books . . . Second of all they are highly unrealistic. I am the exact same age as Massie, Claire, and the rest of the gang, and I happen to live in Westchester, in the richest neighborhood in it, and I certainly don't wear Marc Jacobs pumps, carry a Louis Vuitton bag, or drive in a fridge-, tv-, and minibar-equipped Range Rover to school every day. I don't have credit cards or an unlimited clothes allowance, and I definitely don't have a five-acre estate to live on. It's also unrealistic how popular 7th graders are . . . I mean do 7th grade girls, no matter HOW hot they are, really think they can date superpopular 11th graders (Harris)? And how everybody in Westchester County knows Massie? Come on.

However, I love reading these books!

Spoiler Alert Do not read on if you haven't read the books.

This one is probably my favorite, as Claire is finally IN and she gets Cam at last! Massie is finally nice and they finally take revenge on Alicia for cheating (not a great thing to do to your BFFS).

The cattiness of the girls is what makes these books good. Even though Gossip Girl is not a book for 12-13 year olds, I have read 2 of them and like the Cliques infinitely better - for my age at least. The Cliques are essentially Gossip Girl - sex - drinking - drugs = great!

This book was amazing, I especially loved seeing Alicia knocked down a peg when Harris used her and didn't ask her out, and how Massie didn't get Cam but got Derrington, the guy Kristen and Dylan loved in the last book.

I thought the ending was kind of cheesy, but I still liked it. I don't get how the Lyonses are moving to Chicago... I guess I'll just have to wait for Invasion of the Boy-Snatchers.

Keep reading and loving the Clique!

I was very impressed with the third additition to the Clique series. The plot thickens as Alicia tries to break away from Massie's group and tries to form her own. She even goes to such lengths as to add members that look similar to her former friends. Kristen and Dylan are torn between the two groups just as Claire enters the scene as part of Massies's clique. Secrets are unvealed, gossip circulates, and Massie is determined that she will not be defeated by Alicia. This book is written at a different perspective than the previous books and mostly focuses on Alicia. I would definently recommend this book to all readers!

This is the third book in the series, but it does not focus on Claire getting into the clique of high society seventh grade girls. This one is all about Alicia getting her revenge on Massie and the other clique members. I like this angle better because it shows Massie's weaknesses and Alicia's strengths. Alicia quickly becomes my favorite clique member, although I do not enjoy the ending. It is too "sweet" and doesn't show how, realistically, the catfights would never end.

There is nothing like reading a good novel filled with gossip, good fun, revenge and sneaky plots. If you are looking for such a read, this is your novel. This is the third book in the bestselling teen "Clique" series.

Alicia Rivera is rich, beautiful and tired of following the popular and feared Massie Block around. Although they are both part of the extremely popular and coveted "clique", Massie Block clearly runs the group and expects all of the girls to do what she says. For instance, the girls have a mandatory Friday night sleepover every week. But one Friday Alicia decides to branch off and have a sleepover of her own. After all, Massie can't get mad over that, can she? Especially if Alicia's jazz dance classmates are invited.

But apparently Massie can, and does, get mad. Thus begins a rivalry between Massie and Alicia that starts off innocently enough but quickly spirals out of control. The girls stop at nothing. Alicia is determined to start her own Clique now and steal away the members of the original. Massie is determined to make Alicia regret ever going against her and will stop at nothing.

With a non-stop action-filled plot, plenty of beautiful and cool characters, I found this book to be a wonderful read. Once I started this novel I simply couldn't put it down! Author Lisi Harrison does a wonderful job of getting into the minds of these girls and making the reader side with them. I found myself siding with both characters at different times throughout the book.

One thing about this book is that it's hard to tell how old the girls are. They seem to be in middle school (I actually thought they were teens at first) but I think by the way it's hard to discern the ages makes this book that much more enjoyable for even adults to read.

Overall, I highly recommend this book to all readers of all ages. It's a wonderful teen chick lit novel filled with backstabbing, friendship, and good fun.

In this "ah-mazingly" catty, clever, and cool installment of Lisi Harrison's best-selling - and for good reason! - Clique series, readers are given yet another peek into the lives of Westchester County, New York's enviable Pretty Committee: four seventh - grade girls who have seen it all, done it all, and bought it all; and two of whom will stop at no degree of scheming to obtain complete domination of the social scene at the exclusive all-girls private school, Octavian Country Day (abbreviation, OCD. Read the books and you'll learn why).

Revenge of the Wannabes pits the infinitely in-control Massie Block against her best friend-turned-rival, the equally gorgeous, wealthy, and renowned Alicia Riviera. After a shocking discovery of Alicia backstabbery and a vengeful vow are made within the final chapters of the author's previous effort, "Best Friends for Never", things at OCD are turned upside down. A simultaneous backlash of the ultimate fictional mean girls results when Massie decides it's time to right some friendship wrongs - her way, of course - and Alicia makes it known through her self-alienation from their clique that she is sick and tired of being the "beta" to Massie's "alpha."

Enter Olivia, Alicia's new cohort; Claire, the undying personification of innocence and conscience; Kristen, who's got enough skeletons to fill even Massie's closet; Dylan, also caught in the middle of the girl-on-girl war; a few lackluster characters with popular aspirations; and some super-hot and in demand Briarwood Academy boys... and it'll be easy to see why the holidays aren't exactly always the time for peace and goodwill towards our fellow man (or in this case, WO - man).

A definite page-turner with a surprise downer of an ending, Revenge of the Wannabes will have you rushing to the nearest Starbucks for some quality time with your very own copy!

My favorite book I read this year was Revenge of the Wannabes a Clique Novel by Lisi Harrison. In this third book in the Clique Series, Alicia Rivera, Massie Blocks "beta" or second in command, is tired of being second to Massie. Along with her new best friend the ditzy Olivia she goes to New York City to be interviewed by Teen People for winning the Octavian Country Day School Uniform Contest. (They cheated of course!) While they are there they are asked to be models for the Christmas issue. When Massie finds out she is furious. Massie then begins to make sure everyone knows Alicia is an Eternal Wannabe. I loved this book, and I would recommend it to teen girls. I loved the ending and you will to, so get a copy of this book NOW and find out for yourself what happens to Alicia.
