A true classic with more than 30 million copies sold since its original publication in 1960. |

This is a great update of the original on which huge successes in everything from sports to business have been based. Dan Kennedy, the key person involved in this update of a great classic, may be the ultimate practicioner of Maltz' principles, and is the ideal person to update Maltz' classic work. The update reads easily, and, unlike many updates, enhances, not detracts from the original. I highly recommend this book to anyone owning the original Maltz work, and to those newcomers who want to clearly understand a theory that has been proven in its application by thousands.
(From quoting B. Meiklejohn)

Let's repeat Kevin Gianni, this book is a bible for those who want to succeed with their health, fitness, and beyond.

This life changing book is a bible for those who want to succeed with their health, fitness, and beyond. Maxwell Maltz has outlined exercises and systems that will take you to the next level in just a few hours using visualization and mind conditioning.
I have to say if I was to name one book that hands-down has changed my philosophy on life, business and helping others, it would have to be this one.
Maltz was a plastic surgeon who realized the people he was working on didn't really need surgery. What the needed was a positive self image. So he started to counsel his patients before surgery and many of them responded well to his teachings. This book is an in depth exploration of what he used with them to create the fantastic results that his studies found.
Much of the visualization that Maltz talks about has been proven to work with athletes and other successful people who practice it. I have first hand experience with the practice and I know it does create fantastic things.
I like this "new" version because Dan Kennedy, master marketer and copywriter, adds some of his own stories and modern anecdotes to update this classic.
I've given this book to many of my clients to help them reach the weight loss goals they've set for themselves and they love it. |

If you're only going to read one self help book, this is the one. This book deserves 100 stars, or infinite stars. It teaches you how to take control of your subconscious and your life so that you're no longer a victim of bad parents, bad environment, bad people and all the harmful psychological programming they put into you. There's a lot of people who badmouthed me and abused me because they're toxic and stupid. My father especially did that and he ruined my life. But the dumb kids in school were horrible too. You can now undo the damage they did. Then you can program your subconscious with new programming that will enable you to reach your goals and be how you would like to be. It helps you reach your true potential. There's so much good advice in this book. You have to do what the book says for it to work, though. If you don't use the techniques, you won't benefit. I think you probably should read this book multiple times to fully internalize its teachings. If you're already very mentally healthy and living to your potential and you had great parents, then maybe you don't need this book. But if you're having problems, if you feel like you're not living up to your potential, you HAVE to have this book. I always felt like there's was some subconscious garbage that was always holding me back and sabotaging me. I always wanted to be successful, but my subconscious wouldn't let me, even though I have a high IQ. The people around me had screwed me up too badly. Now I feel like I can finally get these monkeys off my back and finally get somewhere in life. |
