The book itself is a beautiful thing. Glossy, thicker paper with silver-edges complements wonderfully colorful pictures and large print stories. The stories are shortened versions of many of the Disney classics (at least those that feature animals). The good side is that you get a sampling of many different stories. In addition, the stories are not too long that the youngest kids will fade out.

I was looking for Disney's books for my daughter and bought both storybook collection and animals' stories as well. These books are almost the same, emphasis is put more on animals from Disney in the Animals series but books are about the same. I will soon return the Animals Stories. Otherwise these are great books for my daughter. |

I love this book because the stories are written well and have wonderful pictures in them. They are perfect bedtime stories as they generally take 5-10 minutes to read. In addition, you get so many stories all in one book and it looks very nice sitting on a bookshelf with its "storybook-like" presentation. Great buy! |

Some of my friends consider that the animal stories are childish and we teenagers are too old to read them. For example, I told them that I cried while I was reading the story "The Fox and the Hound", they laughed at me. Well, I think that these stories are just too easy to understand, but they're not childish at all. They can teach us much, and teach your children more. I was growing up in Disney's wonderful animal stories. The first animal story I've heard was "Bambi", I was about 3 and my mother read it to me. I only felt the story was interesting that time. But as time went by, when I recalled this story while I was upset by something, I realize that the journey of growing-up was not so easy, there must be some setbacks in our life, and we should face up to them bravely. I've read the story of "The Lion King" before watched the movie. It impressed me much, and I think we must fight against the evil, and we'll get something we deserve at last. "Dumbo" was a warm story that I have heard when I first went to primary school. After I heard this story, I realized that why all parents love their children so much, and I knew how important our parents are to children. And after that, when Mother's Day or Father's Day come, I always give my parents respects. I love "101 Dalmatians" very much; it's not only funny but also told us that we are powerful once we hold us together. When I saw this book was on sale in a book shop, I bought it at once. Because I think Disney's animal stories are instructive, and this book is worth collecting to me. When I have a child after I've grown up, I'll read all these stories to him or her just like my mother did to me. |

This wonderful hardcover book tells the tales of Disney Classics such as Bambi, Lady and the Tramp, and The Lion King. With full color art on every page, it is a true treasure. I especially like the renditions of The Ugly Duckling and The Three Orphan Kittens, originally written by Margaret Wise Brown. These stories have become bedtime favorites for my daughters, age 4 and 6. I even bought a copy for my nephew. |
