Utilizing his own successful experience in the Recruitment field, Tony Beshara has developed a step by step practical guide that can be used effectively by any job seeker that is serious about finding the right job. In this book, the Author has laid out a process that appears to be a simple, yet an effective "how to" guide for the job seeker. I particularly liked the expert tips on how to write a good resume, getting the face to face interview, preparing for the interview and how to handle the tough questions. This book will assist a serious job seeker in avoiding some of the common mistakes that can cost him/her an excellent job opportunity. Using relevant and easy to master exercises, questionnaires, tables and a tool box of letters, the Author has taken a lot of the guess work out of the job search process.

Dear Mr. Beshara,
I'd like to thank you very much for your book "The Job Search Solution" - I followed your guidelines and within 3 weeks of intensive work, I landed a very exciting position with a start up compnay in the silicon valley - doing what I like most - working in the field of music and technology.
A software manager by trade, I took your methodology to the letter and within days I had multiple phone screens, which led to series of interviews with multiple companies and finally a job offer. Your book provided critical information about the hiring process as a whole, from cover letters, to phone screens, to face to face interviews, to closing the deal. One hiring manager at HP commented: "I had to call you simply to find out who is the guy who has the guts to end his cover letter with 'read my resume and interview me this week!'."
I know that the market is pretty hot right now in the silicon valley, but I have no doubt that your method was critical for my success in landing the right job - The company I work for had 6 candidates for my position - my attitude, style, experience and your book made the difference.

I have known Tony for several years and his method to recruiting and landing a job has not wavered and this insight is reflected in his book. The priority is landing the interview. He stresses how in the interview you have to creatively break though to sell how you fit not just the position but more importantly what the hiring manager perceives he wants for this position. He not only makes this abundantly clear but provides the practical tools that guide you through each step of the process.
He also provides valuable insight on the emotional aspects of the job search. And in today's job market being prepared and overcoming the inevitable frustration of the process can make all the difference. |

Simply put, this is the best 3 to 4 hour investment you can make in a job search, or if you thinking about a job change. The book is filled with strategic insight, but more importantly Tony explains in clear and concise fashion how to put the strategy into action.
The major thesis is that the job search is a process, and while there are many things you can't control, you can control your process and execute on your strategy to maximize your probability for a positive outcome, and more importantly, minimize the timeline to do it.
Another key element to this book is a candid discussion on the emotional and psychological aspects which is a must read at least twice, and pass it along to your spouse. This section will bring validation to your feelings, and then you can earn the right to advance to Chapter Two and Take Massive Action Now.
Tony also addresses (in Chaper 7) benefits of Practical Spirituality. I personally encourage everyone to put this into practice, even if your not in job search mode.
I review this work often, when drafting cover letter, thank you notes, etc. becasue after you have studied it and internalized, it becomes an excellent reference. My mantra has become, Take massive action, now and make a difference.
My final comment is that I recommended this book to a friend of mine and told him that if he did not think this book had value, I would personally write him a check for one hundred dollars and take him to dinner. I still have the check, safe in the checkbook and he bought me dinner because of the focus the book brought to his search effort. |
