I never really realized how many different types of dinosaurs there were until I read this book, even if they be 'dinosaurs crammed in an elevator.' This book mentions all sorts of dinosaurs, from big to tiny, smooth to spiky and hot to cold. The pictures used to illustrate each type of dinosaur are really wonderful. They are bright, bold, colorful, and, above all, cute. Like all the Boynton books I've read, the words in this book rhyme very well, effortlessly. The rhyming also helps to make the book flow well, and flow well it does. This is a classic Boynton book, and is a wonderful book. |

I purchased this book for my daughter when she was only one, and we both quickly learned to love it. Then, when my son came along, this book became one of his favorites as well! The wonderful rhymes and adorable pictures make this book a true blessing for the parent who has to read it over, and over, and over... I was especially impressed by the small bit of musical score that is part of the rhyme "Dinosaurs singing a dinosaur song." Whenever we get to that page, my children love to sing the little tune that is written there! Sandra Boynton is a wonderful children's writer, and this is a great example of her work. I highly recommend this book! |

Our 27 month old granddaughter received this book for Christmas. It has quickly become one of her favorites. (Grandma's, too)Catchy verses, cute and colorful pictures. Not too lengthy. Perfect for naptime, bedtime or anytime. Kiersten likes the dinosaurs stuck in the elevator, especially the baby one. |

You and your baby/toddler/kid will love this book. This is a real gem with adorable illustrations and delightful rhyming text. There's even a little music! The best thing about this book is that as many times as I have read it to my daughter (almost 2); I still love it, unlike a lot of other kids' books. If you like this one, my daughter and I would also recommend Silly Sally by Audrey Wood and Jamberry by Bruce Degan. |
